YouEarnedIt engages investors for $6.5m series A

US-based employee engagement software developer YouEarnedIt completed a $6.5m series A round on Tuesday co-led by IDG Ventures USA, a venture capital affiliate of media firm International Data Group.

Spun out of digital advertising agency Rockfish Interactive, YouEarnedIt has created a software platform that helps businesses combine their team engagement initiatives in a single place with tools the company claims will increase participation.

The series A round was co-led with VC firm Silverton Partners and included marketing firm WPP, financial media company Motley Fool, Social Starts and Capital Factory. WPP and Capital Factory had contributed to the company’s $1.5m seed round in 2014.

YouEarnedIt will invest the series A capital in product development, sales and marketing.
